Oasis fans were sent into a frenzy after Liam Gallagher promised a “big announcement” on social media. Fans were beyond excited as they prepare for the reunion tour next month.
Oasis fans have been on the edge of their seats for years, and now the moment they’ve been dreaming of is finally approaching – the band is set to reunite on stage next month. However, this morning, frontman Liam Gallagher sent fans into a tailspin with a post that hinted a “big announcement” was coming on Monday (June 9), causing a social media meltdown.
The much-anticipated Oasis reunion tour is set to begin in July, with fans worldwide eager to witness the Gallagher brothers share the stage once more. But Liam’s recent post on X, formerly known as Twitter, had fans buzzing with anticipation, especially since the gigs are so close, and many theories have been doing the rounds as to who may perform alongside them.
He teased: “BIG ANNOUNCEMENT 6.30 am”, sending fans into a frenzy. The response was immediate, with comments like “I hope you’re not lying” and “let’s hear the news today, oh boy.”
However, the excitement soon turned to laughter when Liam followed up with: “I WORK OUT.” He continued the banter with another post, which read: “Gotta admit that was good craic – gotta you all riled up.”
After his playful jest, fans were quick to engage with the singer. While some were hopeful for significant news before the upcoming gigs, others were just caught up in the chaos of the moment.
One fan questioned: “Did anyone here actually believe him?” Another commented: “What made you wake up and think I’m going to cause absolute CHAOS today for no reason.”
Liam cheekily replied: “Just checking you cats are still living in the real world, and not all caught up in this social media existence.”
Someone cheekily responded: “Well that was fun – have you got anymore tricks and pranks up your sleeves for the future?” Another fan chimed in, expressing hope for a concert ticket, adding: “Thought you were announcing that you’re going let me have a Heaton Park ticket. Forever living in hope!”
The social media tease followed reports that Oasis had been gearing up for their reunion shows with rehearsals last week. Liam reflected on the experience, claiming: “It was spiritual.”
The 52-year-old frontman has finally been in the company of his older sibling, Noel, marking their first collaborative effort in music in over 16 years.
