When questioned about the Pro Bowl snub, Joseph expressed surprise but maintained focus on team goals, stating, “I ain’t trying to be in the Pro Bowl. I’m trying to be in that Super Bowl.” He also mentioned that he values All-Pro recognition more highly, viewing it as a more significant individual accolade.
Joseph’s performance this season has been exceptional, with statistics including 77 tackles, one tackle for loss, 12 passes defended, and nine interceptions. Since entering the league in 2022, he has accumulated 17 interceptions, the highest total in the NFL during that span.
Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn commented on the situation, suggesting that Joseph’s aggressive playing style might have contributed to his peers’ voting decisions. He emphasized Joseph’s impactful plays and national recognition, indicating that the safety does not require additional motivation from Pro Bowl selections.
