Thursday, Nov. 14: The Red Sox have signed left-handed reliever Justin Wilson to a one-year contract, according to FanSided’s Robert Murray. Wilson, 37, posted a 5.59 ERA and 1.46 WHIP in 60 appearances for the Cincinnati Reds last season.
Wednesday, Nov. 13: The White Sox are interested in Red Sox outfielder Wilyer Abreu as the headliner for a Garrett Crochet trade, according to Sean McAdam of MassLive.com.
Wednesday, Nov. 13: The Red Sox have an agreement to hire Chris Holt as their new bullpen coach, per Roch Kubatko of MASN. A Maine native, Holt most recently served as the Baltimore Orioles’ director of pitching/pitching coach.
Tuesday, Nov. 12: The Red Sox are among a dozen teams interested in free agent right-hander Nathan Eovaldi, according to WEEI’s Rob Bradford. Eovaldi helped Boston to a World Series title in 2018.
