BREAKING: Superstar Andrew Nembhard Launches “A Hope Rising Foundation” to Transform the Lives of Children with Disabilities — Free Healthcare, Basic Needs, and Endless Love for Indiana’s Most Vulnerable
Indianapolis, IN – July 1, 2025
In a world often overshadowed by fame, fortune, and fleeting headlines, Indiana Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard has chosen a path defined not by spotlight but by service. In a deeply emotional ceremony held at the Indiana Children’s Museum this morning, Nembhard officially unveiled his latest off-court legacy — the “A Hope Rising Foundation”, a non-profit dedicated to supporting children with disabilities throughout the state of Indiana.
And what he’s building? It’s nothing short of breathtaking.
“Every Child Deserves to Be Seen, Cared For, and Loved”
With tears in his eyes and surrounded by dozens of smiling kids and their families, Nembhard said,
> “This isn’t about me. This is about every kid who’s ever been overlooked, underestimated, or forgotten. I want them to know they are beautiful, powerful, and never alone.”
The A Hope Rising Foundation will provide 100% free healthcare, adaptive equipment, physical and speech therapy, nutritional support, and family housing assistance for children living with physical, developmental, and neurological disabilities — starting in Indianapolis and gradually expanding across Indiana.
But the mission doesn’t stop there.
The foundation has already secured partnerships with local hospitals, therapists, educators, and disability rights advocates to ensure kids get not just medical care — but dignity, joy, and community.
> “We’re not just building clinics,” Nembhard said. “We’re building hope. Playgrounds with wheelchairs in mind. Camps where no one gets left behind. Homes where parents don’t have to choose between medicine and groceries.”
An NBA Player, A Brother, A Believer
Those close to Andrew say this cause is personal. Growing up in a tight-knit family, Nembhard saw firsthand how challenging it could be for parents to care for a child with special needs.
> “There was a kid in my neighborhood back in Aurora [Canada] who had cerebral palsy,” he recalled. “I used to play with him every day. He inspired me. I always knew — if I ever made it, I’d give back to kids like him.”
And give back he has — in the most powerful way imaginable.
Pacers Family, Indiana Community Rallies Behind Nembhard
The outpouring of support was immediate. Indiana Pacers owner Herb Simon, teammates like Tyrese Haliburton, Bennedict Mathurin, and even head coach Rick Carlisle were present at the launch.
> “This is who Andrew is,” Haliburton said. “He plays with heart on the court — but off the court? He’s showing us what real greatness looks like.”
Governor Eric Holcomb also announced a state matching grant of $10 million to expand Nembhard’s foundation’s reach statewide.
Facilities, Scholarships, and a Family First Focus
The foundation’s flagship project, the Hope Rising Wellness & Joy Center, is already under construction on the east side of Indianapolis. It will include:
State-of-the-art therapy rooms
A pediatric rehab gym
Music and art therapy spaces
Specialized classrooms for inclusive learning
Temporary housing for low-income families in crisis
And perhaps most touching — a wing of the building will be named “The Heart Room”, where each child will have a wall with their name, dreams, and artwork displayed. Nembhard said, “Every kid deserves to feel celebrated. Not just cared for — loved.”
The foundation will also offer annual “Hope Scholarships” for children with disabilities pursuing adaptive sports, arts, and higher education.
Angel in Human Form
Social media lit up within moments of the announcement, with the phrase “Angel in Human Form” trending worldwide. Fans, athletes, and activists from all corners praised Nembhard’s pure heart and unwavering mission.
> “The world needs more of this. Andrew Nembhard is leading with love, and it’s changing lives,” said a parent whose child was already pre-enrolled in the program.
Even NBA legends chimed in. Dwyane Wade tweeted:
> “This is legacy. This is heart. Salute to Andrew Nembhard — your name now means hope.”

In a time where fame is fleeting and kindness often buried beneath chaos, Andrew Nembhard has chosen a higher calling — to be a light for those who are so often forgotten.
“A Hope Rising Foundation” isn’t just a charity. It’s a promise — that every child, no matter their ability, deserves to live with joy, dignity, and love.
And thanks to Andrew Nembhard, that promise is rising — one miracle at a time.
