BREAKING: Top Four-Star RB Amari Thomas Chooses Georgia Bulldogs Over FSU Football
In a major recruiting victory for Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs, top four-star running back Amari Thomas has officially
announced his commitment to Georgia, turning down a strong push from Florida State and several other top-tier programs.
Thomas, known for his explosive speed, powerful downhill running, and elite vision, becomes one of the crown jewels of Georgia’s 2025 recruiting class. The 5-foot-11, 205-pound back out of Florida had long been considered a heavy FSU lean, but a late surge by Georgia — including an impressive official visit and personal attention from the coaching staff — proved decisive.
> “Georgia felt like home,” Thomas said during his announcement. “The culture, the coaches, the way they develop running backs — it all just lined up with what I want for my future.”
Rated as one of the top 10 running backs in the nation, Thomas rushed for over 1,800 yards and 24 touchdowns in his junior season and is expected to make an immediate impact in Athens. His commitment strengthens Georgia’s reputation as a powerhouse for producing NFL-ready backs, joining a legacy that includes Todd Gurley, Nick Chubb, D’Andre Swift, and most recently, Kendall Milton and Daijun Edwards.
With Thomas now in the fold, Georgia’s offensive future looks even brighter as the Bulldogs continue to build one of the most complete and dangerous rosters in college football.
