In a monumental achievement for collegiate athletics, the University of Georgia Bulldogs have officially been named the 2024 Nation’s Best Athletic Program, solidifying their dominance across multiple sports on the national stage.

The prestigious honor, awarded annually to the most outstanding all-around athletic department, recognizes excellence in competition, academic performance, program integrity, and overall impact. Georgia’s success in securing this title reflects an extraordinary year that saw the Bulldogs shine not just in football, but across a wide range of men’s and women’s sports.

From football maintaining elite status as perennial national title contenders, to women’s gymnastics and track & field posting record-breaking seasons, and softball and men’s tennis making deep NCAA tournament runs, Georgia showcased a rare level of consistency and championship-caliber performances throughout the 2023–2024 academic year.

Athletic Director Josh Brooks praised the university’s athletes, coaches, and support staff, saying:

> “This recognition is a testament to the relentless dedication, character, and championship mindset of everyone involved in Georgia Athletics. Our student-athletes continue to raise the standard, not just in competition, but in the classroom and in the community.”

The Bulldogs’ achievement also highlights the university’s growing investment in facilities, coaching, and athlete development, as well as its thriving NIL infrastructure, which has helped attract and retain top-tier talent across all sports.
